A new digital platform that aspires to be the most dynamic Athens commercial guide has been available to Athenians and visitors to the city for a few days now.
Through the new Athens Shopping platform, which is the result of the active cooperation of the Municipality of Athens and the Athens Chamber of Commerce, every user will be able to discover the quality market of Athens and find everything they are looking for, by category and by area. So far the pilot edition is available only in Greek.
Pilot application
The platform, which was created through the Development and Tourism Promotion Company of the Municipality of Athens (EATA) and is currently in a pilot application, invites professionals who maintain all kinds of shops and businesses in the center and neighborhoods of Athens to register in Athens Shopping, so that they can promote their products, services and offers to the buying public for free.
Strengthening the economy
Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis noted how the new app will strengthen the economy of the Greek capital, and boost the visibility of the city’s dynamic and prestigious market. These actions, noted the mayor, in collaboration with the the Athens Chamber of Commerce benefits professionals who run businesses in the center and the 129 neighborhoods.
The President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, Stavros Kafounis, also lauded the first comprehensive Commercial Digital Guide “Athens Shopping”, which aims to present the market to Greek and foreign consumers, through an easy-to-use and friendly digital environment.
The online guide has been designed in an easy-to-use manner, displaying on its pages, businesses by product and service category (catering, food, home goods, electrical goods, jewelry, gifts, fashion, bookstores, department stores, etc.), as well as by region .
In the next period, the platform will also be available in English, so that it can also be used by foreign visitors to the city.
