
“At noon, the lawyers of the president of PASOK-Movement for Change, Michalis Kalantzopoulos and Manolis Velegrakis, accompanied by the director of the Parliamentary Group, tendered the lawsuit of Nikos Androulakis for the attempted tapping of his mobile phone at the Data Protection Authority” says a statement from PASOK -Movement of Change.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Nikos Androulakis’ complaint regarding an attempted wiretapping of his mobile phone through the infamous Predator malware, caused tumultuous reactions on the political stage.
Update from the European Parliament
As the president of PASOK-KINAL himself stated, a few days ago he was informed by the competent service of the European Parliament that an attempt had been made to tap his mobile phone with the monitoring program in question.
“Uncovering who is behind such sick practices and who they are acting for is not a personal matter. It is my democratic duty,” Mr. Androulakis had declared, adding: “Throughout my career, I have learned to strive for transparency, in the light, in the spotlight, because transparency is a required element of the smooth functioning of our political system, as concerns this dark affair I am not going to compromise with half-measures and evasions.”
