The turnover of both accommodation and food service, during the second quarter of 2022, grew by leaps and bounds, a sign of the very good course of tourism.
For the total of enterprises in Accommodation Activities (division 55 of NACE Rev.2 classification), the turnover in the second quarter 2022 amounted to 2,051,499,115 euro, recording an increase of 238.8% in comparison with the second quarter 2021, when the respective turnover was 605,517,814 euro. For the enterprises of the Regional Units with a contribution to the total
turnover of the year 2021 greater than 1.0%, the biggest increase in the turnover of the second quarter 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2021 was recorded in the Regional Unit Kos (399.6%) and the smallest increase (125.8%) was recorded in the Regional Unit Chalkidiki.
For the total of enterprises in Food and Beverage Service Activities (division 56 of NACE Rev.2 classification), the turnover in the second quarter 2022 amounted to 1,931,545,816 euro, recording an increase of 70.2% in comparison with the second quarter 2021, when the respective turnover was 1,134,960,057 euro. For the enterprises of the Regional Units with a contribution to the
total turnover of the year 2021 greater than 1.0% , the biggest increase in the turnover of the second quarter 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2021 was recorded in the Regional Unit Thira (275.8%) and the smallest increase (32.3%) was recorded in the Regional Unit Achaia.
For the enterprises in Accommodation Activities (division 55 of NACE Rev.2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in June 2022 amounted to 1,007,709,216 euro, recording an increase of 174.4% in comparison with June 2021, when the respective turnover was 367,247,183 euro .
For the enterprises in Food and Beverage Service Activities (division 56 of NACE Rev.2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in June 2022 amounted to 221,518,425 euro, recording an increase of 56.0% in comparison with June 2021, when the respective turnover was 141,979,349 euro.
For the enterprises in Accommodation and Food and Beverage Service Activities (divisions 55 and 56 of NACE Rev. 2 classification), obliged to double-entry bookkeeping, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in June 2022 amounted to 1,229,227,641 euro, recording an increase of 141.4% in comparison with June 2021, when the respective turnover
was 509,226,532 euro. For the enterprises of the Regional Units with a contribution to the total turnover of the year 2021 greater than 1.0%, the biggest increase in the turnover of June 2022 compared with June 2021 was recorded in the Regional Unit Kos (325.5%) and the smallest increase (58.0%) was recorded in the Regional Unit Achaia.
