United Maritime Corporation has announced the delivery of another Aframax crude oil tanker. The M/T Bluesea, as it has been renamed, has a capacity of 114,000 dwt and was built in 2006 in South Korea. Simultaneously with its delivery, it joined an international Aframax tanker commercial management pool.
The M/T Bluesea is the second of a fleet of four tankers acquired by United in July 2022. The company is expected to take delivery of an LR2 tanker in August and another in October.
“The outlook for the tanker industry is up”
Mr. Stamatis Tsantanis, President and CEO of the company, stated among other things that the outlook for the tanker industry is bullish, supported both by the low growth of the fleet and the increased demand for crude oil and its derivatives. We expect to take delivery of the two LR2 product tankers soon, expanding our revenue base and consolidating the Company’s position in the tanker space.
United Maritime Corporation is a shipping company specializing in international maritime transport. With the delivery of the newly acquired vessels, the Company’s fleet will consist of 2 Aframax tankers, 2 LR2 tankers and 1 Capesize dry bulk vessel with a total carrying capacity of approximately 617,014 dwt tons.
