
The issue of the auction of the new football stadium of Panathinaikos in the area of Votanikos, which, together with the new facilities of the club’s amateur division, are the two main axes in the big project of “Double Renovation” in Votanikos and Alexandras Avenue, is now progressing to its final stage.
According to state news agency APE-MPE, within Wednesday (12/10) the technical services of the Municipality of Athens will receive from the technical council of the Ministry of Infrastructure the approval for the auction of the new football stadium with the method of article 50 of the law 4412.

The tender process
After all, the whole process has been “running” for two weeks, after the environmental conditions of the new football stadium were formally approved by the Ministry of Energy.
When the Athens municipal authority gets its hands on the final approval, by Friday (15/10) the “auction approval of the Panathinaikos football stadium” will be on the agenda of the financial committee of the Municipality.
Tender forms are ready
The tender sheets detailing the terms of the process are ready, so that the tender of the new football arena that will host Panathinaikos in the coming years can go ahead.
The process will last several months, until the contractor who will undertake the construction of the new stadium emerges towards the end of October 2023. And the projects (based on planning) will start in the last two months of 2023, with a completion horizon of 36 months, i.e. towards the last months of 2026.
