An increase in sales by approximately 12% in October was announced by the Jumbo group, while in the 10-month period from January to October it reached approximately 11% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Sales in more detail:
In Greece: For October 2022, the net sales of the parent company (not counting intra-company transactions), showed an increase of approximately +4% compared to October 2021.
In total for the ten months of 2022, the net sales of the parent company – excluding intercompany transactions – showed an increase of approximately +13% compared to the corresponding ten months last year.
In Cyprus: Sales during October 2022 increased by approximately +24%, compared to the corresponding month last year, continuing their impressive dynamic course.
In total, sales in Cyprus for the ten months of 2022 have increased by approximately +23%, compared to the corresponding ten months last year.
In Bulgaria: Network sales recorded an increase of approximately +37% in October 2022, compared to the corresponding month last year.
The sales of the stores, in Bulgaria, for the ten months of 2022 should be increased by approximately +5% compared to the corresponding ten months of last year.
In Romania: Network sales increased by around +21% in October 2022, compared to the corresponding month last year.
Overall sales, in the Romanian market, for the ten months of 2022, are increased by approximately +1%, compared to the corresponding ten months last year.
The Jumbo Group takes advantage of its strong financial position and continues its investment program for 2022-2023.
The new superstore in the city of Sibiu, in Romania, is expected to open in mid-November.
Dividends
In addition, the JUMBO Board of Directors approved on 17.10.2022 the payment of an extraordinary cash distribution-dividends of 0.3850 euros per share for 2022.
The payment of the extraordinary cash distribution will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
It is noted that until today company management implemented its commitment to maintain the dividend policy for 2021 and for 2022 by distributing a total amount of 0.77 euros per share (gross) with two equal distributions in January and June 2022.
