
More than 940,000 residents in Greece have submitted a relevant application to the tax bureau’s (AADE) relevant webpage for a heating subsidy, the finance minister said on Wednesday.
Eligible beneficiaries will receive a subsidy in three installments, with the first set to be disbursed on Dec. 21, 2022.
FinMin Christos Staikouras said the income criterion for allocation of the subsidy have been raised to 16,000 euros in annual income for a single individual, and 24,000 euros for a married couple, increased by 3,000 euro per child.
The actual subsidy has been increased from 300 to 350 euros.
