
Latsco Marine Management, led by Paris Kasidokostas Latsis, has placed an order for the construction of two LPG Carriers, according to information confirmed by the company.
The two LPG Carriers will be built in Korean shipyards and will have a transport capacity of 88,000 cubic meters each. The cost for the two LPG carriers (there is an option for two more according to shipping companies) will amount to 197.7 million dollars and their delivery is scheduled for 2025.
Containerships and VLCCs
It should also be noted that in the context of the development and diversification of its fleet, Latsco recently acquired two containerships, thus marking its entry into the specific sector.
More specifically, Latsco received two feeder containerships, which were built within the year and have already been chartered by liner giants. These are ‘MARLA TIGER’ and ‘MARLA BULL’.
In addition, from the previous May until October, it received four newly built VLCCs, which in fact travel under the Greek flag.
Specifically, last June it added Yiannis Latsis and Erietta Latsi to its fleet. It was followed in August by the tanker Hellas Fos, built at the yards of South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, while it then received the Hellas Paliros.
In total, Latsco has raised the Greek flag on six ships.

According to Equasis, the Latsco Marine group has a fleet of 32 ships, of which ten LPG Carriers, 20 tankers and two LNG Carriers, to which two container ships must be added.
