His name came to light suddenly, with the death of the former King Constantine. Pavlos of the House of Glücksburg, is the son of the deposed monarch who died last Tuesday at the age of 82, about whose fortune little is known.
However, the photos they often post show that their real estate is by no means negligible. 6 unique properties, first homes and holiday homes for the family, with a value of several million euros. How could it be otherwise since his wife has a huge family fortune.
It is certain that this is a real estate portfolio that even real princes would envy.
And Pavlos may be rumored to want to stay in Greece, however, with the properties he owns, it will probably be difficult to part with them.
The Daily Mail, therefore, collected all the photos that have been uploaded from time to time on the family’s Instagram accounts and show the interior of both their home in London and New York, as well as that of their country homes in Britain and the Bahamas.
New York and London
Besides his family, Pavlos owes much of his wealth to his wife and daughter of the billionaire founder of Duty Free Shops, Marie Sandal-Miller. The two of them, among five other properties, own a country house in expensive Southampton, New York, which they bought for 17,000,000 euros.
It is a mansion with an area of 1,200 sq.m. which was initially sold for around 28 million euros but the price was reduced to 17 million shortly after.
The property has 10 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, fireplaces, huge windows offering endless views and a large kitchen – every chef’s dream – with wooden floors. The mansion also has a library, a gym, a tennis court and a swimming pool.
In London, Pavlos and Marie Chantal’s house is located in one of the most prestigious districts of the city, near Roman Abramovich’s mansion which has been valued at more than 100 million euros.
According to an earlier publication of the Daily Mail, the cost of a property on this street starts from 2.5 million dollars and above. The interior of the Glücksburgs’ London residence is decorated by renowned interior designer François Catroux and includes pieces by modern artist Herve van der Straeten, who is known for his wooden creations.
In Britain, however, they also have two country houses: The first is a tower house on an area of 32,000 acres in York County. It is a hunting lodge on an area of 32,000 acres where Pavlos spends many hours with his friends exercising his skills as a hunter.
The second home is in the Cotswolds, an area near Oxford.
Pavlos and Marie’s daughter Maria-Olympia lives in an expensive apartment in Soho, while Pavlos and Marie Chantal also recently acquired a new 1,200-square-meter Hamptons retreat that has ten bedrooms, eight bathrooms, multiple fireplaces, and a huge kitchen. Also, garden, tennis court and swimming pool.
The two also own a vacation home in the Bahamas. A beautiful home on Harbor Island, a private paradise in an area of rare beauty.
Pavlos and his wife Marie’s real estate portfolio is respended, worth many hundreds of million euros and the only dilemma they have is where to stay and where to… go on vacation.
The funeral
It is noted that in the eulogy Pavlos delivered on Monday during the funeral service held in the Metropolis of Athens, he said:
“Constantine, your majesty, king my father, grandfather, Olympian, it is a difficult day for us children and grandchildren for all those who came to say goodbye to you for the last time but also for all those who honor your memory and it was impossible to be together you”, said the eldest son of the former King Constantine.
You lost your father, and my grandfather, King Pavols when you were very young. You always followed his bequest when you assumed responsibility for the throne. He told you “dedicate your life to the happiness of your country, there is no more worthy mission, always remember that it is better for the king to suffer than for the people.
You glorified the country with the Olympic gold medal. The race was a hard fought battle of mind and body to the final victory with the late crew.
It was a tough time when you assumed the Throne. And the result was something no one wanted. Your attempt failed, but you didn’t want to be the reason for a new bloodshed by staying in Greece. You accepted with respect the decision of the Greek people.
Family was everything to you and our mother. You created a family united by love and duty to the Motherland.
God brought you to take your last breath in the homeland. As you taught us father, we your children and grandchildren offer and will offer forever to the homeland and Greece.
My power, the love of the people was and will forever be the rule of our family. For every Greek and every family, the strength is the love of every Greek for it.
“Have a good trip” Pavlos concluded with obvious emotion for his father, former King Constantine.
