A cooperation agreement focused on the faster growth of the Greek innovation ecosystem was signed by ELEVATE GREECE and the Hellenic Federation of Enerprise-SEV on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The aim of the cooperation is:
a) the faster growth of start-ups, which are registered on the ELEVATE GREECE electronic platform of the National Registry of New Businesses,
b) strengthening the interconnection of research and spin-offs with industrial production and encouraging technology transfer and knowledge sharing, and c) developing the appropriate skills and competencies for rapid business development.
The signing of the agreement took place at the Ministry of Development and Investments in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Christos Dimas.
In particular, the agreement includes:
I. Innovation Ready Networking Services
The start-ups of the Register with their participation in the workshops and Innovation Ready services of the SEV acquire important networking opportunities with the industry, with dynamic companies and with investment schemes interested in the exploitation of new innovative technologies and solutions.
II. IG@work highly skilled and skilled worker recruitment service
The start-ups of the Register gain the opportunity to participate in the new platform for attracting highly specialized talent, from all over the world, called IG@work. IG@work is a platform developed at the initiative of SEV, through which highly skilled work opportunities are promoted and talent is attracted, not only locally, but also globally. The platform focuses on technology-related jobs, highly skilled industrial positions and administrative/managerial positions of responsibility. Businesses will be able to republish their open online jobs on the platform and accept applications from interested candidates in a simple way.
Upgrade
The Deputy Minister of Development and Investments and Member of Parliament for Corinth, Mr. Christos Dimas, noted the importance of the new support network for start-ups from the private sector.The CEO of Elevate Greece A.E. Mr. Michalis Dritsas emphasized that the mission of the newly established Elevate Greece A.E. is to continue supporting the Registry’s startups, adding new activities and continuing to further network the dynamic innovation ecosystem so that their efforts are more successful.
Within the framework of the agreement, the chairman of the Innovation Committee of SEV, Mr. Markos Veremis, doted on how connecting innovation and the startup ecosystem with industry and dynamic businesses of all industries and sizes. is another step in the effort to shield startups with tools, know-how and networking that will allow them to achieve rapid growth for the benefit of the Greek economy and the new generation of Greece.
