Εurostat calculated the inflation rate in Greece at 5.4 percent for last month, March 2023, the fifth-best performance in the EU, behind Luxembourg (2.9 percent), Spain (3.1 percent), the Netherlands (4.5 percent) and Belgium (4.9 percent).
The same figure in February 2023 for Greece was 6.5 percent, and 8 percent in the corresponding month of 2022.
The Eurozone’s inflation rate eased to 6.9 percent in March 2023 from 8.5 percent in the previous month, February 2023, and 7.4 percent from the corresponding month last year, March 2022.
The highest rates in the EU were recorded in Hungary (25.6 percent), Latvia (17.2 percent) and the Czech Republic (16.5 percent).
