Turnover by hospitality-related businesses in Greece for February 2023 increased by 27 percent, or 19.2 million euros in absolute terms, exceeding 90.4 billion euros, up from 71.2 million euros in the same month of 2022, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT) announced.

Greece’s statistics authority added that restaurant/eateries’ turnover grew by 20.4 percent, or 24.3 million euros, exceeding 143.4 million euros in February 2023, up from 119.16 million euros in February 2022.

Accumulated turnover increased 22.9 percent to exceed 233.9 million euros, up from 190.3 million euros in February 2022.

In terms of regions, Messinia prefecture (49.1 percent) posted the biggest percentage increase in turnover, while the Dodecanese island of Kos reported the smallest increase (8.7 percent).
