This was emphasized by the Minister of Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis during his visit to the Athens Chamber of Commerce where he met with the association’s board of directors, representatives from various commercial sectors and presidents of industry associations.
The minister was welcomed by the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Stavros Kafounis, and the presidium, and after taking him on a tour of the site, they explained to him the various and serious issues that concern the commercial world of the capital and the entire country, the announcement of the Chamber emphasizes.
Mr. Pierrakakis listened to the proposals and positions of the Chamber and pledged to support the sector’s fair demands. In his short statement he emphasized that “spending some time with the new Board of Directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, I was very happy to find that the commercial world of Athens has become fully familiar with the digital services of the Greek State and is benefiting from the technological and financial tools for Small and Medium Enterprises Businesses. Digital transformation only benefits SMEs and empowers entrepreneurship. From our side, we will continue to support SMEs, which are the backbone of our country’s economy.”
After the meeting, the President of ESA Stavros Kafounis said:
“It is a special honor to have the Minister of State and Digital Governance Mr. Pierrakakis at our offices. We had the opportunity to convey the anguish of the struggling commercial world to a Minister who leaves an indelible mark with his work. The digitization of the state was a demand and a need of society. Its completion and the modernization of businesses is a goal of utmost importance for the real economy, the development of the country and the creation of opportunities for our children”.
