The hunt against tax evasion launched by the Independent Authority for State Revenue-AADE is in full progress by cross-checking the data sent by the sharing platforms.
Using the algorithm of the special software at their disposal, AADE auditors took the data from the platforms with which a hotel in Meteora cooperates, and compared them with the company’s customer books, as well as with the transfers to its bank accounts.
The audit revealed that a hotel unit had not declared an income of 1.3 million euros.
Immediately, the sum was ascertained and main taxes of more than 300 thousand euros were paid. Auditors are continuing to delve into the company’s books to see if there are any more… omissions.
The investigations carried out by the AADE auditors also reveal the new tricks used by sly entrpreneurs to evade the auditors and skip paying taxes.
