New Democracy has the approval of the citizens to govern independently and strongly, Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized in his statements after the great electoral victory in the parliamentary elections, announcing second elections as soon as possible.
He pledged to follow all the procedures provided by the Constitution and opened fire on the system of simple proportionality.
Mr. Mitsotakis added that today a circle closes and a new one opens, one that New Democracy will lead with the truth as a guide.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the millions of Greeks who once again made New Democracy the great and indisputable winner. With their vote, they showed that they recognize the great strides made by the country. The data of the ballot box are catalytic. The New Republic has the approval of the citizens to govern independently and strongly,” he said at the beginning of his statement.
“Citizens asked us to run faster on the road to progress. Hope defeated pessimism. I promise to work even harder to honor your trust,” he stressed.
