Transactions that exceeded 407 billion euros in value were processed by DIAS (Interbank Systems) in 2022, reaching 368 million and showing an increase of 12% compared to 2021.
In fact, according to data from the first quarter of 2023, the figures for the current year are also moving with double-digit growth rates for the 3rd year in a row.
A significant increase in transactions by 16.3% is observed (to 93,534,169 compared to 80,422,397 in the corresponding period of 2022), while the estimate is that in 2023 they will exceed 400 million, with their total value expected to exceed 450 billion euros.
Fund transfers last year saw a 107% increase compared to 2021 with three out of ten transfers having been executed immediately. Instant payments remain the protagonist in 2023, with 97% of them in 2022 having been made in less than 5 seconds.
Of all transactions handled in 2022, 84.6% (311 million transactions) are credit transfers (bank credit transfers, direct credit transfers, business/organization collections and payments).
Direct transfers
The 62 million transactions belong to the bank credit transfer service, which showed an increase of 27.3% compared to 2021. Direct credit transfers, which in 2022 constituted 28.3% of credit transfers, amounted to 17.5 million. transactions, showing an increase of 107% compared to 2021. Direct transfers also include 5.8 million money transfers between friends. In addition, 39.7% (146 million) of the 2022 transactions traded are business and organization collections, which increased compared to 2021 by 11.9%.
DIAS SA’s financial figures for the 2022 fiscal year moved for the second year at constant double-digit growth rates, with the company’s total revenues appearing strengthened by 13%, reaching 14.64 million euros, pre-tax profits increased by 22 %, rising to 6.17 million euros, while profits after taxes increased by 19%, reaching 4.73 million euros.
