Gangland execution of 37 year old man in Evosmos, Thessaloniki

A bloody incident with shots and one dead occurred shortly after midnight on Thursday in Evosmos, Thessaloniki.

According to a report by thestival.gr, at 00:50 the Immediate Action center received calls about shootings in Evosmos.

As it became known, unknown persons set up a deadly ambush on a 37-year-old foreigner on Vizyinou Street, outside the apartment building where he lived.

The victim of the attack received several bullets in the chest.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found the man covered in blood on the pavement. He was picked up by a mobile unit of the EKAV ambulance service and transferred to the AHEPA hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the murderous attack was undertaken by the Crimes Against Life Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate.

Police sources of thestival.gr attribute the incident to a settlement of accounts between rings of thugs who “sell protection” in the city’s nightclubs.
