With a message for Greek tourists returning from Israel, while the fighting continues, the president of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis, began his statement after the local elections.
“My thoughts this evening are with the Greeks who are being transported from Israel to their homeland,” said the president of SYRIZA.
“Today was a first message about the need for Greece to have a large progressive faction. You also see this in Thessaly where the all-powerful governor suffered great losses. In Thessaloniki, the progressive candidates prevailed. In Attica, Giorgos Ioakeimidis put up a great fight and managed to take second place and it was an honor to support him”, said Mr. Kasselakis.
At the same time, he took a clear position in support of Haris Doukas in the second round in the Municipality of Athens, saying that “we must support the fight against Kostas Bakoyannis, who lost percentages”.
“SYRIZA needs renewal yesterday. The renewal starts tomorrow,” he stressed.
Regarding the unacceptable statements of Achillea Beos, he said: “I don’t have much to say, I think they reveal enough by themselves, I just urge justice to finally do its job in this matter as well.”
