In particular, the Hellenic Statistical Authority-ELSTAT announced that during the month of September 2023, 19,008 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time, compared to 15,629 that were released in the corresponding month of the year 2022, showing an increase of 21.6%.
There was a 2.2% increase in the first-time release of cars (new or used abroad) in September 2022 compared to the corresponding month of 2021. New cars released in September 2023 amounted to 12,384 compared to 9,388 released in corresponding month of the year 2022, showing an increase of 31.9%.

The circulation of new motorcycles with a displacement of more than 50 cc (new and used foreign) during the month of September 2023, amounted to 5,712 compared to 5,746 in the corresponding month of the year 2022, showing a decrease of 0.6%. The launch of new motorcycles (above 50 cc) in September 2022 was up 11.9% compared to the corresponding month of 2021. New motorcycles launched in September 2023 amounted to 5,430 compared to 5,442 launched in the corresponding month of year 2022, showing a decrease of 0.2%.

In the period January – September 2023, 184,138 cars (new or used foreign) were released for the first time, compared to 163,160 that were released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 12.9%. An increase of 4.9% was presented in the nine months of January – September 2022 compared to the corresponding period of 2021. The new cars released in the period January – September 2023 amount to 113,068 compared to 90,714 released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 24 .6%.
The circulation of new motorcycles over 50 cc (new and used foreign) during the period January – September 2023, amounted to 55,427 against 49,437 released in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 12.1%. An increase of 24.0% had been presented in the nine months of January – September of 2022 compared to the corresponding period of 2021. The new motorcycles launched in the period of January – September 2023 amount to 52,511 compared to 45,808 launched in the corresponding period of the year 2022, showing an increase of 14 .6%.
