
The operating hours of the Athens Metro are being extended with trains running until 2:00 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night from now on.
More specifically, the new schedule applies to Metro Lines 2 and 3, allowing passengers to travel until the early morning hours. Thus, from Syntagma Station, the final trains will now leave for all directions by 2:00 a.m.
Arrival Times Starting from Syntagma Station
Trains from Syntagma will arrive at the terminal stations as follows:
• Doukissis Plakentias at 2:20 a.m.
• Dimotiko Theatro at 2:22 a.m.
• Anthoupoli at 2:14 a.m.
• Elliniko at 2:17 a.m.
Last Departures from Terminal Stations
The final trains will depart from the following stations:
• Doukissis Plakentias at 1:38 a.m.
• Dimotiko Theatro at 1:34 a.m.
• Anthoupoli at 1:43 a.m.
• Elliniko at 1:40 a.m.

Changes to Bus Services by OASA
As part of the Strategic Transport Plan, the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) is also preparing significant changes to city bus routes, set to be completed by May 2025. This plan aims to enhance the overall quality of passenger travel.
The organization’s goal is to redefine the capital’s transport system over the next two decades, focusing on seamless integration across public transport modes—buses, trolleys, metro, tram, and suburban railway—so that they complement each other according to the actual travel needs of Athens residents.
